Running Accomplishments:

I hated running during my high school goalie days, and came up with all the excuses I could find to get out of team runs. I started running in college to try and keep extra pounds at bay, but it wasn't until 2006 that I decided to get consistent with my running and signed up for the Disney Marathon through Team In Training. Six months later I did my second marathon and have completed 4 at this point. I've always ran at very comfortable paces and thoroughly enjoyed my running mostly for due to social reasons. I have a great group of running buddies.

I've been a part of 2 Blue Ridge Relay teams and 2 Run For Africa/Blue Planet Run teams, and these definitely were highlights of my running adventures. My mountaintop marathon experience is Big Sur 2008, what an awesome day! Not because of speed, we finished in 4:42, but because we soaked in every minute.

Before adding speed work into my routine I've hovered around a 10 minute mile pace for long runs.

Short-Term Running Goals:

On the cusp of turning 30, ready to take my running up a notch and go for the Boston Qualifying time of 3:40. I need all the help I can get!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Would like to complete a trail marathon at some point, and an ultramarathon of some sort.

Personal:

I'm married to a ridiculously supportive, not really a runner, husband. No children, but lots of animals!

Fun and fast! Felt strong. Legs are a bit sore the day after. Ran the distance during my 50 minute run. =8:17 pace

Ran a 50 minute run, legs were heavy, but not bad considering the weekend's events!
